    New phone batteries will require to be charge at least 6-8 hours for the first time. After that you will only required to charge the battery for 2 hours. Do not charge the battery overnight, this will shorten the life-span of the battery.

Until they are fully charged... :) It depends on the batteries and the phone. Your user manual should say roughly how long it should take, but the phone will probably provide some indication once charging is complete. Whether or not to leave the phone charging overnight... that depends on the phone and the charger too. Many modern phones automatically end charging once the battery is charged to capacity.
