Call the telephone company.

does your phone have the option to block the calls you don't want to receive? if not, then you need to make a request thru your telephone company. there is a basic charge for that. *I really pity people who are having problems about this. how I wish your country could make telephone devices that have options to block unwanted/unregistered/unknown calls, etc,etc.

There is a Feature which most large phone companies offer. It's called Call Rejection, most companies charge for this service, which will block certain numbers you don't want calling you. You have to call your phone company to put this on your phone. They will tell you the *code to use when you want to block a phone number. NOTE: This service will only work for local numbers that are from land line phones only. If you are getting harassing calls, that you want stopped..call your phone company and asked them about another feature called CALL TRACE, where you hit a *code each time you get a harassing call, it then gets sent to the Annoyance Call Bureau after you trace the same number 3 times, who then can take action against who is harassing you.

If it's telemarketer go to www.donotcall.gov (I don't remember the name of the website) and register your number there. If it's SOMEBODY that bothering you I think you have to change your number because that SOMEBODY can call you from any phone he/she wants.

Get privacy manager so the person has a couple of seconds to tell you who they are & you can coose to not take the call if they call you blocked. Otherwise some phone companies offer for a fee certain numbers that you list with them to here a busy signal when they dial you home number. I have a caller id box that does not allow ANY private calls to come through. My home phone rings once and then a message comes on and says " This party does not accept blocked call." Then it clicks on them. It is annoying but serves the purpose.

Well it depends on your provider. Landlines are easy to block numbers, but it depends on 1. If you have the number (the caller didn't hide his number) 2.If the provider will do it. most phone companies will do it for a fee, but if this person is harassing you then call the police. with a subpoena, the police can find the number from the company even if it is blocked.

call your phone company, there is a way, but it costs like 6.00 a month. Also if this person keeps calling you and you have told them not to, start writing down each time they call. You can then file a report with the police for harassment. I did this and the calling stopped!!
