Is there anyway to use 'call-forwarding' from a land line to a cell phone?
-
I'm constantly out of the house and I have some people who I don't want them to have my cell phone number but would like them to be able to reach me when I'm out of the house. So is there anyway to use 'call-forwarding' to forward my [land-line] home phone to my cell? Does it cost anything? PS: I know how to forward it from my cell>home. I want to forward from home>cell.

Answer:
If you have it on your line (it is sometimes an added feature) you dial 72#, after you hear the dial-tone, then dial the number you want to forward your calls to Your cell phone), include the area code if it is different from your land line. When you answer your cell your calls are forwarded. If you don't answer it, just repeat the process and you are set. (On the second time it automatically sets the forward.) To turn it off (unforward) dial 73# hear a dial-tone then hang up.

yes just follow the call-forwarding instructions from your house phone and then you should get all your calls. but you can also try just leaving a voice message on your home phone and tell callers to call your cell number.

I do it all the time....I just forward my home phone to my cell, when I will not be home... (You must subscribe to Call Forwarding on your home phone of course.) Works great. Even if your home phone does not have 'Caller ID', my cell shows who is calling!!!
