Answer:
owner of that block of numbers is CAVALIER TELEPHONE, L.L.C. http://www.telcodata.us/telcodata/telco?npa=703&exchange=766 you would have to get the service thru that company to get the number you want..

I dont know of a way to reserve a telephone number online. However, you can go to http://fonefinder.net/ and find out which carrier currently owns the telephone number (or block of numbers) you are trying to purchase. Then you can call said carrier and request the number. I hope that helps.

call the business office, ask them if there is a reason that number is not issued. If they do not have a valid reason, ask them to issue it to you. I used to do that all the time for my customers, they would want PRINT or RADIO as the list 5 digits and if they were not in use, they got them. In the CO where I lived, there were 3 prefixes, I had 3 lines, I had NXX-1111 for all three prefixes.

No, there doesn't HAVE to be a way. Phone numbers are in short supply, especially in that area code. Phone companies can't make enough money on vanity numbers to make it worth their while to mess with it. If you had a friend on the inside, you might be able to get it, but more likely, you won't.
