How To Use Youtube Mobile On Nokia C101?

I need help with my Nokia phone o_O?

  • I have a nokia 5610,6133,and 5300, (USA T-MOBILE) They all get a error message when I try to run a 3rd party app (Google maps, YouTube Mobile, etc.) It says "Application access set to not allow" Or "You have to grant this application permission to send and receive data over the network"..But that's the problem when I try to set the application access or grant it permission to use the network it is "Grayed out" I can't click on the damn thing!! I think T-Mobile doesn't allow this to happen. Also when I try to load a video on YouTube I get an error message that says like "Operation failed" or something.. I think these two problems are linked together somehow. I read on forums that you can unlock the phone and it will fix the errors Do you think I should? I give points to the person with the best answer

Here's the deal: it's an application lock and not a sim lock. Unfortunately, T-Mobile and Nokia have become more inclined to proprietary apps and softwares and have started to look more into making money off of downloaded content. If you get a sim unlock, it won't allow you to install applications still. I too have had this problem with the 6263 from T-Mobile and have not quite found a solution. But, I can get the phone's software/firmware flashed by going to a cell phone repair joint (I don't know how to do this myself) and get them to unlock it for me. I haven't done this because I haven't found a need to get 3rd party apps. I would still recommend that you get your phone(s)' sim unlocked. All you have to do is call T-Mobile and let them know you want your phone unlocked. They'll say "okay" and email you step-by-step instructions within 48 hours. This does not void out the warranty and just makes your phone more operable overall in terms of 3rd party stuff or internationally and use an international sim card (or if you just go to AT&T). Last note: they let you unlock one phone per line every 90 days and if you ask, I think they are legally required to give you an unlock code if you tell them you plan on going overseas or something. Best of luck, hope that helped!
