What does pay per click mean?

Verizon pay per use: do I get charged every time i receive an email?

  • I've temporarily switched to a *non*-smart phone, and so I switched my plan to pay per use. Does this mean I get charged every time I receive an email, or do I only get charged when I try to check my email, meaning that I manually click on the email button and read my email? I shouldn't be charged much if I exchange only a few texts and don't click the internet/email button, right? THANKS!!

  • Answer:

i'm pretty sure verizon doesn't have a pay per use data plan. they have a 99 cents a day feature add on which gives unlimited data allowence for a 24 hour period. unless they changed the plan from when i was working there and/or they have a promotion plan exclusive to your area. the data transfer is complete once it's in your smartphone mailbox, so whether you read it or not the data's already been transfered. your phone should have a setting so you can set your email to push, manual, or even a time frame. change your settings to manual if you're worried about data usage so your phone only uses data when you manually go into your mailbox.
