The 3G is now $99, and refurbs are now $79. 16GB regular 3G (Not S of course) are $149 and refurbs are $129. But without a new contract or eligible upgrade, it's $299 new, and $279 refurb. $349 with 16GB new, and $329 refurb. Hope this Helps :)

they stopped selling the OLD 3G iphone about MYA when stocks ran out the only place you will find on is second hand via ebay or similar!! apple do NOT sell models side by sold each replaced model is withdrawn BEFORE its replacement is released (often due to lack of stock)

It's $99 with a new two year contract. Don't listen to anyone who says they are no longer selling it or that it is more that $99. Because that's the price. It's online on www.att.com and on www.apple.com

Umm.. Apple still sells the 8GB iPhone 3G. It's $99 but only with a 2 year contract.
