International texting question!?

Okay, so I have unlimited texting on my iPhone 4S. I have AT&T. I am going on vacation to Aruba and I would like to be able to contact my friends/family. I know there's international talking and that's expensive but does the same thing apply to text messaging? Like would it still be considered unlimited texting or would it be international texting and cost me a whole bunch? Help please!

my friend just went to iraq and told everyone to stop texting him because it's around 25 cents a text. if you wanna communicate I would seriously just send 1 or 2 to let them know you got there okay. because the cell phone companies are gonna charge you like crazy for international texts or calls
