Do Vodafone has worst reception in Australia ?

• I found Telstra, optus, TPG are much better than Vodafone. I am using Vodafone and the reception keep dropping and shows only one bar. Internet speed is 1 Kbps. I have seen slowest 3G network of vodafone in Australia. My friends, Vodafone's staff and owner of Vodafone him self is not getting reception of Vodafone at all. They put the symbol of guarantee of network on vodafone's website, which has been posted their mistakenly. Wherever I go in Sydney I facing this issue. I was on job hunting and I missed many calls of jobs due to bad reception. Then one employer send me an email told me my phone is switched off then I found out there is bloody no reception. I ask anyone with Vodafone tells the same issue. I am planning to move to TPG plans. What do you think?

  It really depends on where you are using your phone. In some areas, Vodafone has really good reception (whereas Optus is horrific). But generally yes, they are really bad. And now they've increased their rates! That means you're paying more for less!!! I remember reading the Herald Sun (you guys in Sydney know them as The Telegraph) last year where they conducted a whole bunch of tests with Telstra, Optus, Vodafone and 3. Telstra and Optus both performed the best and Vodafone and 3 were the worst. So it really goes to show how bad they are. I'm not to sure about TPG but they seem to be using the Optus network which I'm with. They should be fine. The plans TPG have are fantastic. Of course, no one beats Telstra when it comes to reception. :)
