If you cancel your cell phone plan, does your phone become unlocked?
-
...and also, if you dont cancel but the plan expires (ie. after 3 years use), will the phone become unlocked then, or will you always be stuck with that provider?
-
Answer:
If you mean unlocked as in pin code then no. You can still have a locked phone unless you do an entire factory reset on it. Also I can tell you this, you won't be stuck with the provider & you can always choose to active your account on your phone or deactivate it or just change providers too, all options are open.
