Motorola DROID question?

How do I put my iTunes music onto my Motorola Droid X2?

  • I've tried to look this up online already, and so far everywhere I've looked the steps have all been pretty similar; connect the phone to the computer using the USB cable, slide down the notifications menu, select 'USB connection', select 'mount', and so on... only there's one problem: I don't have that 'mount' option??? The only options that come up when I slide down the notifications menu are: 'PC Mode', 'Windows Media Sync', 'USB Mass Storage', and 'Charge Only'. So, I guess my question is: Which option do I select? and where do I go from there? Again, I have a Droid X2 by Motorola and my service is Verizon. Also, I have a PC with Windows 7. Thanks!

You'll want to use the 'USB Mass Storage' option. Also, there is a link to the Motorola USB drivers you'll probably need on the following link. http://blog.jrtstudio.com/2011/06/usb-drivers-links.html If you want to keep using iTunes instead of switching to Media Monkey, check out our iSyncr app in the Android Market (Now the “Play Store”). Here is an easy to follow tutorial. http://blog.jrtstudio.com/2011/06/isyncr-for-pc-tutorial.html -Justin

If you want to play iTunes music with your mp3 player, you need to convert the iTunes music (aac/m4a/m4p) to mp3 first due to the protection. The easiest way is to burn the music to an audio CD in iTunes and then rip it back as mp3 files. Or you may get TuneClone to help you, which works great for converting a great number of music tracks, needs no CD discs and preserves the ID3 tags well. Use MediaMonkey instead it's easy you just put your phone to mass storage device and there you go you can sync etc. http://www.mediamonkey.com/
