What is a refurb phone?

Will Verizon give me a new phone or a refurb?

  • Recently I just purchased the Blackberry Storm 2. Only problem is, two weeks after i buy it,(right now) the speaker decides that its gonna bust. I purchased the insurance on my phone but im not too sure about what verizon will give me. some of my friends told me that they will give a refurb, only problem is, i dont want a refurb. I just paid FULL PRICE for this phone, and got insurance on it. I must say that if they try to give me a refurbished phone, i will be more than pissed. and pay my way out of their contract. Anybody know anything?

    Seriously, why don't you just call your local Verizon store really quick and get an instant answer instead of posting something on Yahoo Answers that might take days to get answered. Different phones have different return policies, and there are different insurance programs for all different phones. Usually there's a 30 day return policy and if anything goes wrong you get a brand new phone- the same one you bought. But just make things easier on yourself and call your local Verizon store. They'll look at your account and tell you your exact options. No big deal-

you'll have to check with the insurance carrier. I know some of the insurance carriers verizon uses give refurbished. Read the fine print. There really isn't anything wrong with refurbished. Almost 85 percent of refurbished phones are phones that never had anything wrong with them. Read up on refurbished electronics. It's very interesting

My speaker busted on my verizon phone and I got a refurb. I would bring it into the store and explain that you just bought it maybe they will give you a new one. It seems that the customer service in the store is better then online or over the phone.
