Can I put a SIM card from a Verizon pay-as you go cell-phone into an unlocked T-Mobile Blackberry pearl?
-
I'm a teenager that doesn't get along with his parents at all I can't stand them! One of the worst things they do that pisses me off is they go onto T-Mobile.com (The company's main website) And they monitor all of the accounts that would be me, my mom and my step-dad. Whenever we get into an argument my parents settle it by blocking my phone which means they go on this website account and shut-down/block my calling & texting ability to anyone except them so basically its a 2-way device to keep me and them connected (in their eyes!) This aggravates me! And.....My mom is always running up the bill and blowing through our whenever shared minutes constantly. - so she gets her minutes upgraded and gets unlimited texting and i get little or no minutes and only 300 texts which i blow through in less than a week! They refuse and stated that they will never give me unlimited texting! Our Carrier is T-Mobile I have a SAMSUNG cell phone (SAM-T509) I'm tired of them controlling me through my cell usage! I've decided to go back to using a pay-as-you-go cell phone, the kind you can buy minutes for and texting and so on... I want to know if I were to get a Verizon pay-as-you-go cell and put it's SIM card into my future Blackberry pearl cell (once it's unlocked) if it will work? My best-friends are switching their T-Mobile cells to Verizon, one of them is willing to give me her Blackberry pearl for free. She told me of this plan and ensures me it will work. It would be great cuz when they switch over then i can get free calling with them and free texting cuz both carriers are the same. Please let me know what I can do to ensure my electronic freedom and rights LOL It will be greatly appreciated! :)

Answer:
This actually won't work. Verizon doesn't use sim cards.

if the phone is unlocked and you do have the verizon sim card then yes you can do it. you might need to contact verizon to update imei numbers but besides that it should work. the only other issue might be that some features might not work. i know with going to att with a unlocked phone sometimes the data part of the phone might not work. just a heads up.
