How do you get water out of your phone?

How do you get rid of water in a mobile/cell phone?

  • My cousin has got a little water in her phone, and it's made condensation on her screen, what's the best way to get it out. If she hits it on her alm the water comes out, but it'll eventuall damage the phone itself. The screen sometimes works, other times it is dark and you can only see it wen you shine the light on it. What to do?

  • Answer:

Umm you open the phone and let it air out for a couple days. Turn it off and take the battery out. Do not try to use a blow dryer or anything or you will screw it up worse. Lay it on a table on its back with the battery out and battery cover off.

TURN IT OFF, GIVE TWO WEEKS TO DRY. THIS IS WHAT I DID AND IT WORKED AGAIN.

take it apart as much as possible and let air dry for a couple of days.

Vonda

take it apart and put the pieces in the sun or by the heater to dry, then the next day put it back together again and see if it works

uhhh good luck with that. i had to buy my fourth phone this year all because of water damage. if the little sticker inside is red, then forget it.

take off your battery and put you fone and battery under like your t.v. monitor or computer or some where where heats comes out for like a day or two and it will work.

i suggest putting it in a sock, then another one, and tie it up and place it in the dryer (ALONG W/ CLOTHES) and see if that helps. its worked for plenty of ppl i know. sounds crazy, but you already have water in it & its already considered damaged, so why not try it!?!?! also you should def put ins. on your phone!!! it really pays off in the end.

hate to tell you sweetheart, the phone is already damaged. it may dry out...but eventually the insides will rust and corrode and stop working. her best bet would be to make an insurance claim (assuming she has insurance), check w/ her carrier to see if she's eligible for an upgrade or maybe look at buying a new or used phone.....
