Whats a good cell phone service for a 13 year old?

I got my grandson (13yrs) a prepaid phone. Got him $30 time and told him its got to last a month. So far so good. Or if you have a family plan with your carrier it will be cheeper but for 13 yr olds you need unlimited everything or your bill will sky rocket, I learned that w/my daughters.

well if you have to pay for it yourself i say virgin mobile cuz you can get unlimited texting for 20 bucks a month and they have SOME nice phones...if your parents are paying then i say att and DO NOT get t mobile it sucks for texting

Verizon is really good to be honest. because if you have the right plan you get unlimited texting. And we have wicked awesome phones... im not dissing at&t. I used to be on t-mobile and i would defend them because i thought they were amazing cuz they were the first cell people i had. but once i switched i was really happy...you just need to get all the info about all the carriers and find out which one is best for you.

im 13 too:) i have AT&T, ALLL of my friends text- its better with AT&T unlimited is only 20$ and veizon unlimited text is 25$ and most of their other text has limits (15$ for 350 texts).. i got that once and went over super fast, YESSSSSSS. i know verizon has amazing phones, but AT&T is way better(:

cricket or metro pcs there phones are pretty expensive dont buy the cheap ones unless you wanna spend money every 6 months but i have them and i have picture text messgeing unlimited mins anytime unlimited long distance 3 way calling caller id voice mail and free text to mexico and its about 47 dollars a month they have cheaper plans for 30 to 35 dollars and you can add whatever you want for 2 or 3 more dollars

Well, where I live, Sprint gets the best Service and they have nice phones! But AT&T is also good! And Virgin Mobile has nice phones! And you can have either a monthly plan or a pay as you go plan! I am thirteen and I have AT&T. I would much rather have Sprint like my friends, but you HAVE to pay once a month. They have pre-paid phones but if you do that and don't put money on it once a month then you get deactivated. But another thing about Virgin Mobile is they get really good service too!

anything that has a keyboard. they love texting! and if you dont want to spend much, try buying it from craigslist, theyre cheap and nice (some) also theyre up for trade at times
