Is Telus a good cell phone company?

Is there any way for a cell phone company to know when the last time a phone was attempted to be turned on?

  • Ok so I got this cell phone and one day I dropped it in water and now whenever I try to turn it on it turns on but it only stays that way for less than a minute. I also got this jealous boyfriend he told me that he thinks I’m "hiding" something on there and so we are going to go to the cell phone company and see when the last time I tried to turn it on because my boyfriend says if I try to turn it on now the cell phone company can tell and he will be mad at me so I can't try to turn it on....so my question is....is that possible or does he not want me to try to get the cell phone on so I can't hide whatever is in it lol please be serious....

  • Answer:

i work for verizon and we have no way of knowing when the phone was turned on. we know when the last call was made and received but not when it's just on/off. if you're not hiding anything, tell ur insecure bf to relax.

If the cellphone managed to contact the network, it will be logged. Note, a cellphone when it's on, it regulary contact the network. Also, a cellphone stays in standby mode when it's turned off. If you really want it off, remove the battery.
