How can I recover text messages I've deleted?

I have an orange samsung tocco lite, if that makes and difference. I sent my friend a text saying I couldn't make it to her party and explaining why, but she hasn't received it. I know I sent it but I've deleted it. Is there any way I can retrieve it without having to pay any money? I just can't be bothered to argue with her, so if I had the text message back with the time I sent it then it would save me loads of problems.

NO you can't retrieve it. For future reference, go into your message settings, then you should be able to save a copy of every message you sent.
