Why won't my phone except collect calls anymore?

What cell phone company allows collect incoming calls?

I need a cell phone company that allows collect calls because I need to communicate with a person in jail & I am in college so my dorm phone won't allow collect calls.....PLEASE HELP!

Usually you need to contact your service provider to see if they will open it up. Some cell companies actually have collect calling open and many are considering opening it up because of the incredible amounts of inquiries. Right now there is no specific list of companies that allow them, but I believe Alltel Wirless does, but call them first to confirm. Some jails will extend a collect call to your cellphone, but then ask you to enter your credit card number for billing. If that doesn't work, then you have to contact the jail or the jail's telecom provider to set up a prepaid account.
