How To Trace A Mobile Number Current Location Free?

I've heard u can trace someone's location thru their mobile phone number. is this true? and how do u do it

    There are a number of websites that offer this service, it can't be done without permission from the person who is being tracked though. They receive a text message which they have to respond to before it can be done. In heavily populated areas it can be quite accurate but if they go into less well populated there are less base stations (masts) and the accuracy can decrease to a number of miles - also if they switch the phone off you get nothing. Overall they are a bit of a waste of time, the results are not very consistent and permission is sought at random intervals to continue. If you were thinking of trying to do it covertly you wouldn't be able to using this method.

By tracking the signal-mast locations yes. It's very easy to get a triangular fix point on the location!

It's called triangulation, they use 3 or more satellites to draw a line to your signal and at the point the lines cross over, it's you!

You can do, but its not very acurate, it gets the phone with about a 2km radius, so not that useful. My boss looked into it to track his father-in-law who likes going wandering and has a habit of getting lost and is diabetic. Loads of website let you sign up to it.

Every phone made and sold in the past few years has a GPS tracking device in it. If you are reported missing and the police need to locate you they can pin point you down to the exact location you are at. Also if you dial 9-1-1 and drop the call they can trace it make to where you are to send help.
