How can I block incoming telephone numbers on my home and cell phones? I am getting calls from people with whom I do not want to have contact. I would like to block their nubers rather than get the police involved.

There are devices you can buy to allow you to block particular numbers that you don't want to receive calls from. You can even block everyone unless they enter a special code. These devices cost about $100. See, for example, http://www.privacycorps.com/products/?id=20

If you are with British Telecom just give the a call and for only £10 a quarter you can block upto 10 numbers from calling you, after they register you for the service you are given a 5 digit code to put inyour phone straight after receiving an unwanted call, Not sure about mobiles but i'd imagine the network would help if you give them a call.

you can check the pages in the front of your local phone book for blocking numbers on your home phone, it can be done by entering the number you want blocked, and entering another number to turn on the feature. but on a cell phone, im not sure if there is an option, you would have to call your cell phone carrier and ask them.

Call the company and find out if there is anything they can do for you. Change you # or just ignore their calls, and I am sure that they will give up at some point.

cant think anything for your landline but regarding your cell phone if you use one of those smart phones, you can download blacklist software that can block unwanted calls

Turn off your cell phone and take the other phone off the hook. That should block all incoming calls.
