Question about palm to the cell phone?

Cell phone question?

  • okayy;; so i have cingular and i dont really like my phone and for christmas i want a new phone. but i like the cell phones from a different carrier. so is all i have to do is go to ebay.com and buy a unlocked cell phone and slip my sim card in it? can the chocolate cell phones do that? and by the way; what kind of phone should i get for christmas? when it comes to cell phones i NEED to love it so what d yall think is good for me?... i really, really do like slider phones. but i text ALOT and i dont know if they are easy to text on? but i dont want a huge cell phone. and my grandmother bloked internet and stuff so i wont be using it for that. i just want a decent cell phone thats good to text with, allows me to record songs, and has alot of memory. any suggestions? im thinking the sony ericson w580i walkman by cingular but i dont know.

    first you can't get a Verizon phone to work with a cingular sim card because verizon phones work like this the phone call comes in it goes to the verizon headquarters place and it is forwarded to the s/n number to the phone and simple verizon phones don't use sim card but you can do the same thing with a T-Mobile phone and it will work like that if it is unlocked

ok i work at att warranty exchange center (XBM), 1st i dont think you should get a phone from ebay... the warranty on that phone will not be valid and will be voided. the chocolate will not work with att service even if unlocked (no sim tray). If i were you i would go for the w580 we have them in black and white.... i have not recieved calls on that phone so that a good thing cus it doesnt have many problems either that or i would wait for the LG Shine CU720 or get the Samsung SGH-A737. hope that helps if you have any further questions just let me know. --------------------------------------… Please Join My Site etelewat.999.org

i don't think it will work...unless you modify it...there are some places where they do that but i believe it's illegal. Anyway...one of my friend tried that before...and I wanted to do the same thing...but it didn't work...i've asked few others as well. I use T-mobile but i think they don't have much selection of cell phones...darn!

I have the at&t 8525. $600. Great for texting, Great for music, Great for talking. It's a little bulky, but it's not bad, and you'd get used to it. Plus, it's a touch screen. The new version of it is the Tilt. I don't really like the tilt, it's a little dysfunctional. When you tilt it up the keyboard moves and it just looks a little ghetto to me. That one is like $550 I think.
