How to turn screen on during partial wake lock?

Motorola droid phone won't turn off and the screen lock is frozen?

  • I got this phone yesterday, and right now I'm at school. I went to turn it off and it went perfectly fine. Then in my 1st period class (since we weren't doing anything) I turned it on, It took several mintues to turn on then usual and ever since then it won't turn off and the screen has been frozen since, the time still says "8:16 am" I haven't taken the battery out yet mostly due to the fact I don't have fingernails.... I need the phone working by the end of the day at least so I have a ride home.

    ask a friend to take the battery out for you cause that should fix the problem.

Borrow someone else's phone to get your ride home and take yours back to the store you bought it from. It's still new, they will either fix it or give you a new one on the spot. When I got my phone they told me it had 1yr warranty you probably have the same thing. If it did that once it may do it again. I got a new one recently and one week after I got it, it would not turn on, I took it back they tried to fix it on the spot and couldn't so they gave me a totally new one and sent the broken one back. No charge. The new one has had no problems it was just a faulty one with a glitch that caused the issue.
