How good is the motorola devour?

Should I get the Motorola Droid or Devour?

• I've had the same phone for the past 3 years and its finally crapped out on me and I'm ready to get a new phone. i have Verizon and am deciding between the Motorola Droid and the Devour. currently the droid is $150 and the devour is $80. I really like the price and the motoBlur features of the devour and i've been almost set on getting that phone but I don't know as much about the droid but have been told its really great. the features i'll be using the most on either phone is texting, the gps when driving, the calendar and to-do list applications, and then the social networking applications. (I don't spend a lot of time on facebook or twitter but I do check them frequently like I check my mail) I would just like to get an opinion from people based on what I'll be using my phone for which phone would be the best option. I can afford either phone but I'd rather get the cheaper devour if the droid isn't quite worth the extra money based on the few applications i'd actually use on it.

  I would definitely recommend the Droid if you can afford it. The Droid runs Android 2.1 while the Devour is only on 1.6. 2.1 gives you things like voice-to-text, live wallpapers, and free GPS (GPS on the Devour would be an extra $10 per month). Otherwise, the LG Ally has all the features of the Droid, and is only $50. Or if price is really no matter, there will be a Droid 2 coming out in the next month or 2..
