How do I delete 1005 contacts from my iPhone but still keep about 8 of them?

First you mark all your contacts. You generally have mark all option which marks all the contacts with just one click. Next you unmark individually the contacts which you dont want to delete. Finally you can choose to delete the selected unwanted contacts. I think this should do it. Hope this works, Cheers! Rudra

1005 contacts? you pass out your number to everybody? even online people? impossible to have 1005 u r so funni always askin simple questions write down info of them 8 contacts DELETE ALL is the best option go back and add the 8 SIMPLE solution. gosh. You can't click thru every person to check them to delete wud take forever you can't delete one person a day that wud take years see? my way takes less than 4 minutes.
