O2 XDA II. Unlock code ?

I've found a O2 XDA II which was lost by someone. But i can't return it because there is no detail about the owner. there is a user password in it and i can't get through. I'm in Sri Lanka and there are no delers for O2 an here. Could some one tell me how to access the phone? if i plug it to a pc and update or reinstall the OS, then will i able to access the phone?] my mail [email protected]
