How do I block my phone number from other people seeing it?

  • Im always getting restricted calls on my cell phone, and i dont think its fair that they can block their number from me, but i cant block it from them. i know theres a certain number to call to block ur number but i dont know what it is. help?

*69 costs money but you could go out and buy the anti- read number. its a chip i found in the uK. and *69 is mainly for seeing who called you if you don't have caller id

*67 I think this is pretty much the norm across North America. But there is a charge for using it. Check with your phone company to learn the amount. It can vary from $.25 to $1 or more, I'm sure.

Dial *67 then the number, and the person you are calling won't be able to see your number. Also some people just have there numbers blocked by the phone company, and it costs a little extra a month. I think dialing *67 might coast money also so be careful.

in canada you can call your wireless company and ask them to block it or in your phone you may have the option under network services to select 'hide id' on a per call basis. check your user manual.
