Answer:
Try swapping the batteries, if it works then you need a new battery. If not you may need a new phone.

Try taking the battery out of your mom's phone and putting it into yours. You may have a bad battery. If that doesn't work, you'll probably have to have it repaired.

go to where you bought your phone and get a loaner

This happened to me to when I had a Samsgung A950. Something fried the battery enough that it wouldn't charge at all. First I would suggest getting a new battery. It didn't work for me though and if it doesn't work for you then your only option is to get a new phone. Unfortunately unless it has enough battery power or you have the information in your current phone stored somewhere else you're screwed as far as getting it onto the new phone. Hope I helped!

how long have you had the phone? some times after a few years the phone will just stop working. if its fairly new then i would take it to your phones carer store (ex. sprint, tmoble, at&t) because there could be a defect. also, have you ever dropped your phone in water? if so then that could have killed it. or do you just drop your phone alot? if you drop your phone often then after a while your phone will brake. you can also try to take your battery out.

my mom had a hot pink motorola Razr. It wouldn't work when off charge, or on charge. we freaked out and freaked out and freaked out for weeks. Finally, we went to a T-Mobile store and they said it had a water damage. Maybe yours does too. But if it doesnt. I don't know. But after they told my mom that, they gave her two choices. Get a NEW phone, or give us till November to fix it! At the time, it was August or early September. SO GET A NEW PHONE OR GET IT FIXED. MY MOM GOT A NEW PHONE.

well, did you try to take out the battery for bout 5-10 sec. Then place it back in and try to charge it Again? Or maybe it's just the charger..same thing happened to my friend...call the company and hopefully they would send you a new charger or a new phone. Hoped i helped?!?!?

switch batteries with your mom and check it. Sometimes it's the plug, if the batteru works when switched. You can buy a new battery. If it's the plug or trhe power supply inside the phone- Your done. Good luck.

Sometimes nickel cadmium batteries need to be replaced.
