How do you pay for Virgin Mobile's monthly plans?

Anyone one know the works of Pay by Day, Pay As You Go and Sidekick prepaid plans?

  • Okay I have a sidekick 3 on a prepaid account. In my account at tmobile I am able to change plans. However, the details of each plan are very vague. They talk about things, for example, in the Sidekick plan that they do not mention in the others and so forth. I am very confused. I know sidekick is $1 a day for IM, EMAIL, WEB etc. and 15cents per minute. Now when I read the Pay as Go theres absolutely no information about those things just "get 15% more on refilled minutes". Now for the Pay By Day, another confusion; talks about unlimited calls and tmobile nights bla bla bla but nothing about IM, Email etc etc. I have stayed in Sidekick Plan because all I know is $1 a day but dont know what changes etc will come by switching to one of the other two plans. Please someone help and explain. Thank You a lot!!

Ok so, the plan you are on you already know about. Here is the info on the other two plans: Pay As You Go For this type of plan it is kinda the old school type of prepaid where you get so many minutes for so much. You can add refills in $10, 25, 50 and 100. This gives you a certain amount of minutes to use. If you want to use text messaging or instant messaging then each message is 10 cents to send or 5 cents to receive. This would also include instant messaging. If you send or recieve a picture message it is 25 cents. You would not have access to internet or email with this plan. If you purchase a $100 or more worth of minutes, the next cards you buy after that will not expire and you will get 15% more minutes for the same price. $10 gives you 30 minutes, $25 gives you 130 minutes, $50 gives you 400 minutes and $100 gives you 1000 minutes. If you get any of the cards except for the $100 one they will expire after 90 days. If you get the $100 one, it expires after one year. Pay By the Day: You will have unlimited calling to anyone between the hours of 7pm and 7am and unlimited calling at anytime to anyone that has a t-mobile phone. If you make any other additional calls they cost 10 cents per minute. Messaging charges are the same as they are for pay as you go and their is no access to email or internet. It does cost 1 dollar per day on the days you use your phone. You would buy the same kind of prepaid cards and add them to your account but they don't give you a specific number of minutes, they are just there until you use them. They expire in the same time as they did for the pay as you go plan. If you have a sidekick, i would suggest staying on the sidekick plan because it is made for sidekicks and it is giving you more unlimited then the other plans would. Unless you are talking alot, I would stick with what you have. You can change your plan at anytime so you might want to try one of the other plans and see if it works better for you or not.
