How can I repair my phone after dropping it in water?

I dropped my phone in water one time and a friend said put the phone in a bag with rice in it. the rice will soak up the water in the call and it works. i know it works i did it to mine even after it was 2 feet underwater for about 5 minutes. it depends on the phone some people are lucky like me

I had a friend who did that. She fixed it by putting it in the oven at like 150 degrees for 20 minutes. She said it worked so give it a try. It can't hurt anything and you may have to buy a new phone anyhow.

take the battery out, let it airdry for a day or two and pray it works when you put it back together.

buy a new one. convert ur current one into water bottle =p

i dropped mine in a hot tube in june still works. take it apart like the back, front and battery out let it dry 4 2 days and dont turn it on. then check and see if u hear this static stuff in it i just kept dropping mine and hit the back until the static was out.

As a cell phone retailer for 15 years I can say all of these answers are correct. So (as usual ) I can only add more content. Cell phones cost 200 dollars or more. (ones for contract plans). It is not advisable and technically not politically correct to buy a Go Phone and use the Sim card from your wet phone. Trying to find a torx tip to fit the cell phone to take it apart is tricky. Not even Radio Shack has those. No reputable repair facility will touch a wet phone. Phone replacement outside of contract and legal rebates is 200 plus. Yoiu get the phones cheap for starting the service or upgrading. Your free phone cost the store where you got it 200 dollars. Good luck

Connect phone or cell? If it is cell kiss it good by and go the the store and get down on you knees in fornt of the service desk and say I am soory but i dropped my phone in water. They see this all the time and they will tell you to .......get a new phone
