Can you have a phone from one company and have another company's plan?

Can I port my prepaid straight talk phone number to verizon daily access plan for one or 2 days?

• I'm with the prepaid company straight talk. My 30 day plan for this month ends in 9 days. The last day of this month's plan ends Sunday 4/15; however, I've noticed that they don't actually cut your service for the month until the end of the following day, which would be late night Monday 4/16, I get paid Wednesday 4/17, and I am getting a good pay check. This month I am on the 1000 minutes/ 1000 texts per month. I have 781 minutes left for 9 days, but even if it's at the end of the month, your service will end at the end of your plan even if you have minutes left. I just need my phone to last one more day possibly 2. Verizon Wireless, who I used to be with a long time ago, now has a daily access plan. It has a $0.99 daily access plan for unlimited calling and 10 cents per text. Can I just port my cell number to this plan and than port back to Straight Talk when I get paid? It's on verizon's prepaid plan, and I don't see that it says they require a contract? It doesn't say whether you have to have Verizon's phones or not to get the daily access plan. Any info will help. I just don't have the money now, and I am getting a good pay check next time which is 1 or 2 days after my Straight Talk plan ends.

  You will still have to buy prepaid minutes for the Verizon phone to port your number to the phone. They are not going to port your number without you putting in an airtime card. I would see if you can borrow the $30 from someone for a few days. If not maybe you can pawn something for a few days and pay the pawn off when you get paid.
