How to detect silence in audio files?

How do I upload new files from my computer to itunes and that itunes detect if they're already into my library

  • I have added new music to my computer but some of the files are already into my library, is there any way itunes detect if they are already uploaded and not duplicate them?

  • Answer:

I don't think itunes pulls new music downloaded onto your computer into the library unless you put it in that specific folder. Also, if it is the same exact file, Itunes shouldnt duplicate it. If it is just the same song however, i think it will take both files....not 100% sure though. You can always go to start, search for the file, open with itunes (it will go into the library) and then add it by hand instead of automatically updating...Thats what i do and it's really simple.

Itunes does that automatically, so you don't have to worry about getting copied files. Pretty smart of Apple. Good luck

Let say you have uploaded new music into media player and you want to import them to your itunes library right? All you have to do is open itunes, click on file tab, and choose "Add file to library" ( one song) or "Add folder to library" ( entire album) ; small window will appear and you have to choose from your files "look in" let say "my music" folder click on the file you want to import, then click open and then you have it. ( don't worry if the files aren't in mp4, it will convert them automatically) I hope this is what you were asking for, at least that's what I understood.
