How do you take pictures of your iPod/iPhone screen?

How can you take a picture of messages or other things on your iPod? People are posting things like that on Twitter or Facebook and I was wondering how to do that.

Press the off button on the top of the ipod and the circle/square home button at the same time.

Press the "Home" button and "Lock" button simultaneously. BUT* do not hold it... (that will reset your iPod)
