IPod Touch headphone jack issue?

My Ipod Touch 2nd Generation has a White Screen, but is not water damaged...Why?

• Hello! Okay, so, I googled many-many answers for my issue and have come up with... oohh, none. I have an Ipod Touch 2nd generation updated to the latest iTunes and here's the issue: A white blank screen just...appeared out of nowhere! It also wont go away no matter how many times I reset/restore the thing. I check to see if it's water damaged by doing the whole "headphone jack" thing and to check if it's white or pink, and it's white! But the screen just won't...come back to life! Everything else works, the music, the slider... but why cant I see anything? Any solutions?

  It might just be broke, I think the white screen is just some type of freeze.That happens alot with my samsung instinct, technical support told me to just remove my battery for 3 minutes then put it back in and restart it. It fixed it but it happened again. i usually just go to my home screen and it goes away. I think just turning it completely off for 2-3 minutes then restarting it should fix it. If t.hat doesn't work you might want to take it back where you bought it and ask for a exchange. How old is it?
