What are some Ipod touch pros/cons?

I'm a college student and I've had an iPod Touch for about 3 months now. I bought it b/c my old iPod (a third gen 4 GB Nano) had become too small to hold my music collection and because I didn't want to carry around my laptop. I thought it was the perfect combination of what I needed. Pros: --Lightweight --Has wifi capabilities (for net surfing, RSS, email, internet radio streaming, etc) --Can buy songs wirelessly from iTunes and immediately play them without firing up iTunes --Has PDA-like capabilities, with built in calendar that allows you to put in important dates and appointments. --Plays music, can play games, and watch movies/TV shows --App Store allows you access to thousands of applications to do practically everything --Multi-touch screen capabilities are fun and easy to use --Looks great --The screen is very crisp for its size. Nice for watching things on. --Can bring your email to you easily Cons: --Expensive --Surfing the net becomes tedious after a while due to the constant resizing of the screen's contents. --Collects fingerprints --Doesn't support flash technology, so certain websites don't work correctly --Can't run more than one application at a time --Battery life is mediocre (especially if you're playing games) --The onscreen keyboard can be hard to type on if you have bigger fingers (though landscape mode will fix that when they do the 3.0 software update this summer) --Can't operate it without taking it out of your pocket, which is a potential security issue.

Pros Like the commercial says "funnest ipod ever" WIFI Internet apps and accessories coolest of all ipods largest video screen size and slim shape addicting touch screen technology quality video screen it's like a PDA,smart phone(minus phone part), you can schedule things make notes set alerts has calculator, you can get many apps for utilities, like currency tip converters, calorie counter etc, and even ones that are helpful without internet while your out of wifi hot spots and etc especially when in a wifi hot spot!! itunes has a lot of decent FREE apps for it. cons Games and wifi suck the battery more quickly than most of us like Prices are higher than most other models if you get the cheapest one the 8gb touch, space really svcks, you may get frustrated. Big screen, more prone to breaking, unless you get a screen shield and a decent case it would be fine then. Largest size one space-wise is 32gb

PROS: revolutionary interface without iPhone's AT&T charges and accessory/interference (GSM) issues Wi-Fi provides Web access accepts standard mini-stereo plug (unlike iPhone) good performance overall good screen images CONS: capacity limited to 16 GB max. lacks hardware features offered by iPhone: camera, Bluetooth, volume control, speaker lacks iPhone applications: Mail, Notes, Maps, SMS, Widgets (Weather, Stocks, etc.) mediocre earphones (and some amplifier noise) closed platform with limited features and customization minimal capability as personal organizer ("PDA") small format limits usability as Web client and productivity device

With 2nd gen: PROS speakers stylish, slim design touch screen accelerometer thousands of games and apps decent memory really fun CONS sometimes crashes, but only takes a few minutes to get back to normal quite expensive speakers are quite quiet Recommendation: GET IT NOW!!!

mine is pretty good alltogether. the only con i have is battery life, but its only bad when im playing apps so its not that bad. its worth it
