How can you waterproof an ipod and headphones?

Ipod works, headphones work, but not together?

• Okay well i've had my ipod for a few years and it has been amazing to me, but this is my little story.. recently i tried listening to it and i couldn't hear anything out of my headphones... so i thought that maybe my headphones died. So i got new ones and they still don't work in my ipod, so i thought it was my ipod (even though my ipod was working fine), but then i tried connecting my ipod to my car with the AUX thing and it works just fine. So is something wrong with the part where i put in the headphones? Will this fix itself or do i have to buy a whole new ipod? ps. My warrenty is out so ya lol please help, i miss my ipod!

  yeah, its probably your ipod thats messed up. i would take it to a local Apple Store and see if they can find out what's really wrong with it. but if you can't do that, then just buy another ipod altogether.
