My itunes homesharing isn't showing up on my computer?

Help, I'm on the verge of tears. iTunes help?

  • Okay, so recently iTunes has been giving me tons of problems and has been acting mad retarded. Well today it didnt recognize my iPod or whatever and so it deleted all of my songs when I clicked sync automatically or something so now ALL of my songs are gone T_T I'm really devastated over that... but I can get the songs back I guess. but my problem right now is that whenever I connect my iPod to my computer, my ipod says "Connected" and all that but on my computer, it isnt showing up that it is connected to iTunes. Like I cant put any music on it right now or anything. Its not showing up. I tried restoring my computer to an earlier date but that didnt help. I cant uninstall iTunes from my computer, and whenever I tried restarting my iPod. NOTHING is working Please help me! :[ What do I dooooo?

  • Answer:

hold the menu button and the centre button down at the same time, hold it for a few seconds and then the apple image should appear. Give it a minute or so and the screen should appear up as normal. itunes should then recognise your ipod once its all plugged in. it doesn't delete any songs either doing this has fixed a number of ipod problems I've had I.e. screen freezing, songs not transfering, half a screen showing up. hope that helps. or upgrade your itunes & upgrade your ipod firmware.connect your ipod & click updated

Did they delete from your iTunes library? If that's the case, the actual files aren't gone. They are somewhere on your computer (wherever iTunes stores them by default). If they deleted from the iPod, then you can sync it with your library and the songs will go back on the iPod. If your computer can't recognize it, try plugging the iPod through a different USB port. Your computer may have lost the driver needed to recognize it. If that doesn't work, you could probably try to restore the iPod to factory settings (if you have a backup on your iTunes library you can safely access). Hope that helped
