How can I improve the battery life on my device?

Is there any way to improve my iPod battery life?

  • I have an iPodTouch 4th Generation that I got in September 2010. The battery life was great at first, but now it sucks! I'll have it at 100% and I'll use it from 9:00 PM - 12:00 AM, and by midnight it's at 15%! I don't have the brightness all the way up, it's pretty much always less than half way up. Also the battery is "indecisive." Like it'll say "20% Battery Remaining" and then 1 minute later it's back up to 30%, then 5 minutes (or less) later it's back to 20%. It happens over and over and over and over, which wouldn't bother me so much if you could turn off the 20% battery warning so it'll stop interrupting my videos and games. I do try my best to get the battery down to 0% and then do a full charge afterwards every month, but it's just not helping. I honestly don't even know if you can help it, but there's no harm in asking. Thanks.

Only if you close background apps and turn of unused radios ( WiFi/Bluetooth ). But a 930 mAh battery isn't that big, the Motorola Droid RAZR MAXX is pretty cool, it has a 3300 mAh Li Ion battery, and let's me maximize it's battery life with smart actions.
