How do I turn off my ipod touch off?

you hold the bottom button on the front screen and the button on the top of the ipod and you hold them down until a slide bar comes and it says like shut down or something and its red and then you slide it and its off and to turn it on you hold them again hope i helped

hold the home button and the turn off/on button on top at the same time for 10 seconds. u have to count. after that let go of the turn off/on button and hold the home button for 10 more seconds. plug it in the computer if it doesn't work and try again.

Oh wow! Haha, all you do is hold down the button on the top, I think it's called the sleep/wake button. And then it'll ask you to slide it to turn off.. that easy.

Push the button on the top left to shut off the screen. Or if you want to turn it completely off, hold the round button at the bottom center for about 5 seconds.
