How do iPod Podcasts work?

How do you load podcasts onto you iPod?

  • I've had to transfer all of my files for my iPod onto another computer. So I transfered all of my iTunes library and files from the older computer to the newer one. Once that occurred I erased and synced everything and re subscribed to all of my podcasts. When everything was done loading onto the iPod, I checked on everything and all of the music and videos were in the iPod but the podcasts were not. What's going on exactly? Do I need to restore my iPod? Or do I have to go back to the older computer again and try to work out everyhting on that computer? Thanks in advance.

  • Answer:

the problem is that you restored your ipod, no? if all your music and podcasts were from itunes, then it should recover when itunes is opened on the new computer. if not, then you'll have to subscribe to the podcasts again, before doing all this, you should have just connected the ipod to the new computer and downloaded the songs from the ipod into your computer. in the future if you want to do this, just follow these steps: 1. Go to My Computer. 2. Click on the E drive, or whatever drive it shows your iPod on. 3. Click Tools on the toolbar, then Folder Options. 4. Go to the Second tab over. 5. Click on "show hidden files and folders". You should now see a folder called "iPod Control" in the iPod folder. 6. Click on that folder. 7. Click the folder labeled as "music" 6. Copy and paste all of the folders to your desktop or wherever you want them. 8. The music is inside the folders! =] credits to bella rose for the steps
