does my ipod touch have to be jail broken in order to put movies on it? and what are good programs to use to convert movies into ipod format and exactly what format is it? :D thanks :)

Go to the Apple website. Download the manual for your product. Read it. Cucusoft has a good dvd ripper for iPod.

Load the movie into iTunes and sync it in.
Download them to iTunes from iTunes and then just sync it.
