How many songs and movies can the new ipod nano hold if it has 8GB of memory?

About 2,000 songs - I have one. It has almost 2,000 songs on it.

either 2000 songs or like 3 movies. i wouldn't put videos, they take too much memory. if you wanted to put video, you should have got ipod classic. sorry. if its any consellation, watching a video on tiny screen screws your eyes up. sorry effy

Well, you can, that's up to you to decide what you want to add in it, but remember, the ipod touch is way better than the ipod nano, if you want, you should buy your very own ipod touch that says 32GB on it with plenty of space to put any thing you want, even my dad has it and still gets to have fun on it, in fact he's actually enjoying it, I just wish I had it right now, but going online from the internet and typing is tough to do, especially when you go to myspace or twitter. I recommend that you should get the ipod touch with 32GB, trust me, you'll do very well with it, you can add thousands of stuff to that, than you could to your ipod nano.
