How to detect only if back button is pressed?

IPod frozen on boot screen and the home button is broken! XP?

  • So I jailbroke my 2nd gen iPod touch a while ago with jailbreakme.com and it was great for like a year and then I decided that I was using up too much space. I was being lazy so I didn't want to connect my iPod to the computer to reset it to default settings so I just went to the settings and pressed the "reset all" button and it did it but when it restarted it froze on the apple screen as it was loading with the little spinning thingy for a while... then it restarted the boot and froze at the exact same place... it does that till eventually... the battery dies, so then I plug my iPod into the wall and it charges just enough to boot and freeze once more at the same spot and I can't put it in dfu mode cause my home button's broke and I tried connecting it to my computer but since it won't even get to the unlock screen, it fails to connect or even detect. If there it ANYTHING I can do instead of replacing the screen and home button once again, your input is greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time. :)
