Why isn't my Ipod shuffle working?

My Ipod isnt working?

  • My ipod isnt working. It is like it is frozen on a song. the song wont play, the name wont move and I cantpress any buttons to change the song or get to the menue.I got it for Chrismas last year, it is a new ipod nano. I have been noticing that the buttons havent worked well, but now they just wont work period.

    Toggle the hold button back and forth four to six times. Then hold down the center button and the play button. This will restart your iPod. I would delete the song and import it again into the library from a different source (it may have been a corrupt file). Also, try to do the 5 R's (located on Apple's website: Restart, Reconfigure, etc.) Your best bet after all this may be to find an Apple store near you (they have great customer service) and take it to them. This is of course if you feel uncomfortable with the quality of your product and how the buttons don't work well (I did with mine as soon as I thought "This isn't going to work well. I better get it replaced before the warranty is up or it stops working on a trip"). You may just have a faulty player. Also, you should still be covered under the warranty. Best of luck!

hold the menu button and the center button for 10 seconds that will restart it and then it should work fine

Plug it in to your computer, burn all your songs on to a disk(s) and delete them. Then, reenter them and it may sort of rebute your iPod. As for the buttons, get a employee on a phone from _______.

omg!!!!! i am on vacation right know and my mom dropped my ipod nano on concerete it was in a bag and in a little case! but when i tried to turn it back on it wouldn't work at all i tried everything and even pressed the middle button (only for about five seconds though!) so i came on her and tieped in broken ipod in the search for questions box!! and i came up with ur question! i read the first answer and tried holding the middle button for ten seconds and it went from being totally black 2 actually turning on!!! and none of my songs or anything were gone!! i would definetly recomend trying to hold the middle button if i were u and then deleting that song also check the warranty 2 and c if u can exchange ur ipod nano for a new one because of the buttons!! GOOD LUCK!!!
