My iPod touch is having music problems?

IPod Touch 1st gen stops iTunes AND Winamp from working?

  • For the past couple weeks, whenever I try to sync my 1st gen iPod Touch with iTunes, it stops responding. I've googled for the past couple days, trying literally every solution I could find, and nothing worked. I got fed up, so I reset my iPod, downloaded Winamp and the iPod Support plugin, and transferred all my music on iTunes there, thinking now I could sync my iPod. Then, when I connected my iPod to my laptop, Winamp stopped responding. This happens every single time I try to plug in my iPod while Winamp is open, AND every time I open Winamp and THEN plug in my iPod. I have the latest software for both my iPod Touch and Winamp, Windows does not need to be updated (as of 5 seconds ago), and I've tried using both high-speed and standard USB ports. Nothing I've tried seems to work. The weirdest thing is that I can plug in my iPod fine to other peoples' computers without their iTunes applications crashing. Is it a problem with my laptop? Because it's brand new, and I don't think it should be having any problems like this yet. I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium, on an HP Pavilion dv6. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Answer:

This could be the problem, you have Windows 7 on your Laptop, and maybe the iPod together with Winamp doesn't work together with your laptop. Franky
