How can I put photos on my iPod classic?

    Generally speaking, everything you want to put on your iPod has to go through iTunes. Make sure you have the latest iTunes 7.0.1. If you are running Mac OS X, you will need iPhoto. On Windows, you need Photoshop Album or Photoshop Elements. Connect your iPod. Now go to iTunes. Select your iPod and then select the Photo tab. Now select what albums you want included on your iPod.

Check your Preferences in iTunes. It will show you the location of the folder that your iPod is looking for when it synchronizes your pictures. Drop your digital pictures in that folder or tell iTunes to look in one of your existing folders instead. Next time you synch your pictures will be on your iPod.

Can't you just drag the images into your iPod and save them there? It worked on my Nano.
