How do I format my iPod?

How long should it take for itunes to convert a movie into ipod touch format?

• I just started burning a couple of movies on my computer and i wanted to put them on my ipod. I ripped my first movie onto my computer and put it in itunes. I connected my ipod touch to the computer and clicked on the check box next to the movie. It went on to my ipod touch easy with no problems. I then burned 4 more movies and then i couldn't put them on my ipod. Itunes said this format can not be played on ipod. I found out that i have to right click the movie in itunes and click "convert selection to ipod/iphone". It is taking so long to convert it. I know its a big file but i didn't think it would take so long. I thought it was weird that the first movie i did was fine and i didn't even have to convert it but every movie i do after that i have to convert.

  well it depends i have converted a 1 in a halfe hour film and it took me about 5 8 mins so it rearly depends on the length, memmorie and pixel
