How can I hook my phone up to my car to play music?

How 2 play music on phone with headphone jack adapter through car stereo (basically using my phone as an ipod)

• i recently bought the vx8300 from verizon..im getting the microsd card so i can upload songs..i bought a 3/32 to 1/8 headphone jack adapter so i could run a line from my phone to the aux. input on my car stereo..first off. the adapter only works when i push it down into the phone really hard, is that a problem of the phone jack or the adapter?..second..only the right speaker in my car and through my headphones are playing sounds...is it becuase i bought the wrong adapter or is good quality not possible to achieve through this application?? ive havnt yet downloaded any mp3's to my phone, only playing recorded sounds..is that why the quality is to bad??

  wow--that is long and complicated, and i'm really sorry but i have no clue how to fix it. what i would do is call verizon. or microsoft and have them walk you through how to fix it. its happened to me and it always works to call their customer service
