Okay here I go.. Yes you can text on an itouch. You can text cellphones and it's all free you get your own phone number now a days with most apps neat huh? :) most of these apps are free and you need wifi for itouches no Internet plans as you would with an iPhone. Its about 250? I believe not quite sure.. But around that range and yes I think you can call but I'm pretty sure you'd pay for that you can pretty much do anything on the fourth generation iPod so yes I think it's possible. :o it comes with headphones has camera. And the best is the fourth gen.(: I hope I got everything lol.

you can text on an ipod touch with wifi but only with wifi and you have to get the app. the app is free for most, i recommend textfree or text now. both are free.no money at all with texting apps you can textt whoever it doesn't matter generation 2 and up have speakers i think maybe 3rd. third has a camera so does fourth but fourth has a extra camera on the front. you have internet on your touch but only with wifi. you can call on the ipod touch but it does cost money. for the app textfree with voice you have to get minutes on it with itunes money or what ever credit card is with itunes. the calling works alright. you need wifi for calling or texting.
