Why won't BBC iPlayer work on my iPod touch?

Help please!!! BBC iplayer not working via the web on ipod touch...what do I do?

Basically, I watch BBC iplayer via the web on my ipod touch...at the moment it isn't working and it keeps coming up with: HTML error on Line 1 Javascript error on line 1 and this is whenever i try to watch bbc iplayer via the web or safari. i've turned the dubbing console on, on the device but it doesn't do anything.... its a second generation so i can't download the iplayer app either... any tips and solutions would be great !!!!! :)

They want you to get the app, but what makes no sense is that it's free. Sorry you have to download the app though

Basically you need to download adobe player. Unfortunately, apple doesn't let you do that. True story. Sorry, I have the same problem. It annoys the hell out of me.
