Ipod touch wont charge as much and turns off with half battery?

I have a ipod touch (the newest one) and whenever I plug it in to charge it says it has full battery but then about a couple minutes later it has a low battery. Also, when it does charge my ipod, and i go on it, it'll turn off by itself. When I turn my ipod back on the date and time is changed to a random date like 1970. Any help??

I would recommend you to report that problem to the mechanical/device/repair service.... Good luck!
